Another year has past Cirillo Hooper & Company celebrates its second birthady. I am pleased to report the firm has grown 79% year on year in the face of some challenging economic conditions. Considering the horrific statistics on small business startup failures, I am grateful to still be alive, let alone growing at the pace we are. Markus and I are confident that the firm will continue to grow as we continue to implement more innovative technology solutions to further streamline our business as we scale operations.

Some of my key (personal and professional) highlights from the year were:

  • Rollout of the firm's partnership with local universities to rollout industry placements for undergraduate students
  • Development of the firm's proprietory training and operations platform
  • Raising over $5,000 for Royal Society for the Blind
  • The AIESEC Apprentice
  • Speaking at TEDx Adelaide about the accounting profession
  • Graduating from my Diploma of Managerment and getting accepted in to my MBA

A new year is always a good opportunity review your goals and set some new ones.
  • Website redevelopment complete with integrated client portal by 30 June 2014
  • Implementation of frictionless engagement and workflow management software as soon as we iron out the bugs...
  • The immediate implementation of Xero Tax as soon as it's released
  • Successful spearheading of the Startup Spring Festival in September
  • Complete a trade mission to China in April 2014

Once again I would take this opportunity to thank our clients, staff and business partners for their continued support in changing the accounting game forever.
