Purpose: The Mission

The purpose of Cirillo Hooper & Company is to build the best possible working environment, to empower our people to deliver amazing value to their clients.

We believe by focusing on our people first, we will be able to amplify the downstream benefits to our stakeholders:

  • As a client, focusing on our people first ensures that we attract and retain the best the profession has to offer. This means better service, better quality and better relationships.
  • As a business, focusing on our people first means that the business will reduce the costs associated with staff turnover, drive efficiency through better engagement and ultimately deliver more value to the business.
  • For the environment, it means that our people are more socially aware and empowered to drive sustainable change in the business, at home and in their communities.
  • As a member of the community, when our people are happy with their career, this radiates throughout the whole community; when they go home to their family, when they participate in sports and social clubs even when they go do the grocery shopping.

Vision: The Direction

Cirillo Hooper & Company is absolutely committed to contributing to the needs of following five stakeholders:

The Clients: Because we exist only if our clients choose us over our competitors

  • Engaged clients: Because engaged clients bring more money to the firm with less marketing effort
  • Happy clients: Because happy clients tell their friends, and their friends become happy clients too
  • Client growth: Because as the client grows, so does the range of services we can offer them

The Staff: Because we exist only if our staff work together to drive the business forward

  • Happy staff: Because happy staff don't quit
  • Motivated staff: Because motivated staff are more productive, efficient and effective.
  • Healthy staff: Because healthy staff are happier, live longer and don't get sick as much

The Environment: Because we exist only if we have a planet to work on

  • Zero waste : Because paper comes from trees, and everyone likes trees
  • Carbon neutral: Because if the planet implodes, then there won't be a business any more
  • Proactive: Because someone needs to lead the way for the industry and we don't see anyone else putting their hands up

The Community: Because we exist only if the community allows us to

  • Corporate giving: Because helping those less fortunate than us is what makes us human
  • Community Initiatives: Because the community allows the business to exist, so we better support it
  • Volunteer work: Because our skills should not be exclusive only to those that can afford it

The Business: Because without the business you would not be reading this

  • Profitability: Because without profit, it wouldn't be much of a business
  • Expansion: Because we want to expand the business to the benefit of all the other stakeholders
  • Continuity: Because this firm's vision is so much bigger than all of us

Values: The Principles

Fair Go (Egalitarianism)

We believe in equal opportunity or what we call a fair go. This ideology embraces the spirit of mateship within the business and the community, as well as compassion for those in need. A fair go means irrespective of race, gender or religion; a person's achievements are a product of their talents, work and effort rather than their birth or favouritism.

  • Meritocracy: Is the commitment to assign recognition and reward based on a person's talent and contribution to the company.
  • Altruism: Is the commitment to the interests of others, not just yourself.
  • Generosity: Is the commitment to give both time and money.
  • Contribution: Is the commitment to offer value that adds to the greater good.
  • Conservation: Is the commitment to the wise use of scarce resources.
  • Trust: Is the commitment to the confidence clients invest in your skills and abilities.
  • Service: Is the commitment to the needs of our clients.

Built to Last (Sustainability)

We value sustainability, or as Collins and Porras put it, we're built to last. This ideology embraces the vision of building a democratic organisation large enough to be indefinitely self-perpetuating. Build to last means that there is no finish line. We are committed to following a path of constant and never ending improvement.

  • Sustainability: Is the commitment to exist indefinitely without detriment to society.
  • Succession: Is the commitment to create a business bigger than all of us.
  • Leadership: Is the commitment to set a positive example for the community and industry to follow.
  • Growth: Is the commitment to help our clients meet their goals.
  • Abundance: Is the commitment to continually develop and expand our business.
  • Efficiency: Is the commitment to achieve objectives without undue waste.
  • Health: Is the commitment to our peoples' longevity.
  • Balance: Is the commitment to our peoples' goals both personal and professional.
