The purpose of Cirillo Hooper & Company is to build the best possible working environment, to empower our people to deliver amazing value to their clients.

We believe by focusing on our people first, we will be able to amplify the downstream benefits to our stakeholders:

  • As a client, focusing on our people first ensures that we attract and retain the best the profession has to offer. This means better service, better quality and better relationships.
  • As a business, focusing on our people first means that the business will reduce the costs associated with staff turnover, drive efficiency through better engagement and ultimately deliver more value to the business.
  • For the environment, it means that our people are more socially aware and empowered to drive sustainable change in the business, at home and in their communities.

  • Zero waste : Because paper comes from trees, and everyone likes trees
  • Carbon neutral: Because if the planet implodes, then there won't be a business any more
  • Proactive: Because someone needs to lead the way for the industry and we don't see anyone else putting their hands up

The Community: Because we exist only if the community allows us to

  • Corporate giving: Because helping those less fortunate than us is what makes us human
  • Community Initiatives: Because the community allows the business to exist, so we better support it
  • Volunteer work: Because our skills should not be exclusive only to those that can afford it

Fair Go (Egalitarianism)

This ideology embraces the vision of building a democratic organisation large enough to be indefinitely self-perpetuating. Build to last means that there is no finish line. We are committed to following a path of constant and never ending improvement.

Ethics: The Rules

Cirillo Hooper & Company adheres to the Accounting Professional & Ethical Standards Board's Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (APES 110). The code outlines the following fundamental principles:

  • Integrity: To be straightforward and honest in all professional business relationships.
  • Objectivity: To not allow bias or conflict of interest or undue influence of others to override professional or business judgements.
  • Professional Competence & Due Care: To maintain professional knowledge and skill at the level required to ensure that a client or employer receives competent Professional Services based on current developments in practice, legislation and techniques and act diligently and in accordance with applicable technical and professional standards.
  • Confidentiality: To respect the confidentiality of information acquired as a result of professional and business relationships and, therefore, not disclose any such information to third parties without proper and specific authority, unless there is a legal or professional right or duty to disclose, nor use the information for the personal advantage of the Member or third parties.
  • Professional Behaviour: To comply with relevant laws and regulations and avoid any action that discredits the profession.
